The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Messier lands with a nice combination. Warner backs away looking to recover.
We've been hearing reports that Messier has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Messier throws a nice looking combination but Warner bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Warner closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Messier did well to prevent Warner getting side control.
Warner slips a nice elbow through Messier's hands, connecting with Messier's forehead.
Warner is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Messier is pressing down on Warner's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Warner works over Messier with some ground and pound from guard.

Warner avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
