Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Eduardo Corassa (ranked 556 p4p, 1097 weight class) and Sean O Malley (ranked 38 p4p, 83 weight class). O Malley has chosen Goat Talk- Sugar Sean as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 44 - 21 - 2, fighting out of New York, Eduardo Corassa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 17 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sean O Malley!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
O Malley jabs Corassa right on the nose. Corassa blinks but takes it well.

and Corassa makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
O Malley looks to land a combination but Corassa avoids it well.
And Corassa counters with a quick kick to the body but O Malley blocks it.

This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Corassa might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far.

That was a close second round but I would say that Eduardo Corassa will probably get the nod.

O Malley takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
O Malley walks straight into a right hand from Corassa - that's dropped him! Corassa jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save O Malley from any more punishment! O Malley complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
