Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 10 - 4 - 1, fighting out of London, Willie Dixon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Jeremy King! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Franklyn Lucas and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! King misses with a wild body shot. King throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Dixon tries to counter with a takedown but King is quick to defend against it. King cracks Dixon with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. King lands an overhand right. King scores with a shot to the body.
A left lands for King. King throws a hook but Dixon avoids it easily. King misses with a straight right. Dixon tries to counter with a takedown but King is quick to defend against it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. King loads up on a big right hand but Dixon slips the punch. Dixon appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Dixon defending well as King loads up on a big left hand. King fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. King cracks Dixon with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. King with a body punch. A glancing blow. Dixon keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Dixon tries to counter with a takedown but King is quick to defend against it. King throws a lazy uppercut
and Dixon counters with a nice double leg into side control. King won't be happy with that. Dixon is trying to get an arm triangle but King is defending well. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if King can do anything to dispel that myth. King sneaks back into half guard. Dixon is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, King has managed to free his arm - good work. Dixon is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dixon looking to secure an arm triangle but King defends it well. This has been an exciting period of action! King stops Dixon from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better. Dixon working for a submission but King is keeping him at bay. King tries to get back to half guard but can't. Dixon swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
