Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mickey Contreras (ranked 1200 p4p, 1132 weight class) and Lorenz Blackwater (ranked 163 p4p, 156 weight class). Blackwater has chosen A$AP Rocky - Everyday as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mickey Contreras!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lorenz Blackwater!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Steve Montenegro and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Contreras fails in his attempt to clinch.
Contreras definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Blackwater circles away from the clinch attempt.
Blackwater lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Contreras forces Blackwater back against the cage and clinches.
Blackwater pulls guard successfully.
Blackwater pulls Contreras in close to prevent any damage.
Blackwater is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Contreras postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Contreras is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Blackwater has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Contreras is looking to defend but Blackwater has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Contreras! Blackwater pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Contreras taps out and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Lorenz Blackwater!
A less than humble Lorenz Blackwater misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
