Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Benji Torres (ranked 400 p4p, 390 weight class) and Macca Outback (ranked 50 p4p, 49 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 18 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Benji Torres! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 24 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Macca Outback! The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Paulo Santos and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Torres misses with a straight right. Outback throws a head kick that misses. Outback changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Torres tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Outback was well out of range. Poor timing from Torres. Outback showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Torres.
Macca Outback seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Outback lands with a shot to the body. Outback misses with the body kick and Torres counters with a two punch combo.
That's one minute gone in the round. Outback throws a leg kick and Torres cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Torres bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Outback's head. Outback misses the body punch and Torres cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Outback slips a straight right by Torres. Outback throws a hook but Torres blocks it. Torres appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Outback pivots, looking for a leg kick but Torres is out of range and Outback settles back down. Torres throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Outback on the side of the head. Outback misses with a wild combination.

We've been told by Torres's head coaches at Hammer House of Horror that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Outback scores with a jab to the body. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Outback lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Torres has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Torres and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Torres with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Outback to score with a decent uppercut.

and Outback counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Outback throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Torres sees it coming and avoids it easily. An attempted straight right counter from Torres misses the target. A low kick from Outback is predictable there and Torres counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Outback thinking. Outback is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Torres rather than just go for the knockout. Torres moves out of range as Outback throws a body kick.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Benji Torres. Well Torres has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win...
