Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Paul Kings (ranked 1437 p4p, 1336 weight class) and Keenwah Granes (ranked 106 p4p, 96 weight class). Granes has chosen 敒不敒 as his entrance music. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Paul Kings!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Keenwah Granes!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Steve Smith and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kings throws a leg kick
and Granes cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Kings looks to score with a jab to the body but Granes is just out of range.
Granes throws a sloppy head kick and Kings moves out of range easily.
Kings swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Kings staying out of range there.
Kings darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Kings misses with a few strikes there.
Kings sizes up Granes with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Granes with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Kings just misses with a punch to the body.
Kings uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Granes.
Granes on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Kings scores with a nice head shot.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Kings scores with a jab to the head.
A big left from Kings misses.
Kings looks to land a body kick but Granes moved away.
Granes avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Kings moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
A solid leg kick lands there for Kings.
Granes has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Kings checks a low kick from Granes.
Granes cracks Kings with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Kings throws a jab when Granes was well out of range.
A little jabbing left from Granes on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Kings swings widly with a right hand
and Granes counters with a good low kick that Kings was not able to check.
Kings misses the jab.
Crunch! Granes slams his shin into Kings's torso.
Granes moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Granes scores with a hook to the body. Kings takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Granes lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Granes has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Kings connects with the punch.
Kings punishes Granes's body with a nice straight punch.
Kings turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Granes throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Kings tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Granes is in Kings's guard.
Kings seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Granes works over Kings with some ground and pound from guard.
Kings wants to sweep but no luck.
Kings not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Granes postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Granes makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Kings looking for a sweep. Not yet Kings, not yet.
Granes lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Granes working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Kings is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Granes has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Granes had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Kings defends it easily.
Granes keeping moving, preventing Kings from controlling successfully.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Granes looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Kings works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Kings looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Granes tries to roll over but Kings keeps him under control.
Granes works his way to full guard. Good work.

Granes looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kings is one step ahead there.
Kings tries to free his leg and advance position but Granes is retaining full guard.

Granes is looking for a triangle here but Kings uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Kings wants to control but Granes is keeping him busy.
Kings is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Granes is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Granes is not content to let Kings control the position.

Kings wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Granes, who protects the arm well.
Kings trying to control the action but Granes is working from the bottom.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Keenwah Granes will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Granes jabs Kings right on the nose. Kings blinks but takes it well.
Paul Kings seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Kings lands with a cross.
Granes throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Kings rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
enabling Granes to counter with a crisp jab.
Kings moves out of range as Granes strikes.
Kings waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Granes.
Kings gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Granes.
Kings tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Granes is able to avoid easily.
Granes tests Kings's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kings smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Paul Kings is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Kings comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Kings throws a head kick but Granes moves out of range.
Granes moves out of range as Kings throws a body kick.
A little jabbing left from Granes on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

Kings misses with a kick to the body
and Granes connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

The fighters circling - Kings throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Granes throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

and Granes counters with a stiff right hand.
Granes takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
The fighters circle momentarily. Kings darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Kings has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Granes finds it's way round the side to connect with Kings's head.
Kings jabs Granes to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Kings steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Granes.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

enabling Granes to counter with a crisp jab.
Kings misses with an uppercut. Granes saw that one coming.

and Granes makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Keenwah Granes seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Kings is looking to counter with a shot to the body.

Granes moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Kings throws a head kick that half lands.
Kings lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
The fighters circling - Kings throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

and Granes counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Kings!

Granes works to advance to full mount. Kings defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Granes cracks Kings with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Granes lands with some strikes.
Granes prevents Kings from getting the reversal.
A nice elbow there by Granes.
Kings can't escape the position.
Granes lands a big elbow.
Granes lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Kings is rocked!
Kings is desperately trying to improve his position but Granes has a good base and remains in mount.
Oh Kings is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Kings is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Granes postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Kings badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Granes around the waist but Granes pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Granes is the winner by TKO! Granes jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:28 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Keenwah Granes!
Keenwah Granes seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
