Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Roger Sparr (ranked 844 p4p, 695 weight class) and Jan Moder (ranked 104 p4p, 87 weight class). Sparr's entrance music is OH NO!. A fine choice. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 15 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Roger Sparr! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jan Moder! The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Paulsen Ambrosius and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sparr takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
A swing and a miss from Moder. Moder misses with a straight left. Moder throws a hook but Sparr avoids it easily. A telegraphed right hand from Sparr misses the target. Moder slaps away a takedown attempt from Sparr, before circling back to the center of the mat. Sparr gets a double leg takedown into Moder's guard. Sparr lands a couple of elbows. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sparr makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Sparr looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Moder looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sparr postures up in Moder's guard and throws a big left but Moder blocks it. Moder is trying to control the position but Sparr postures up. Sparr stopping the sweep attempt from Moder. Sparr prevents Moder from getting back to his feet. Moder is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Sparr throwing strikes but missing. Moder is looking to stand up but Sparr isn't so interested in that idea. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sparr cracks Moder with a solid left hand. Moder looking to control.
Moder looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Moder preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Sparr in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sparr advances position into side control! Moder taking a bit of punishment here - Sparr scoring with strikes. Sparr definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Sparr is looking to take a break and control but Moder is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Moder is looking for a sweep. Moder struggling a bit here. Sparr is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Moder looks calm but he's in trouble here. Sparr gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Moder is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Sparr lets go of the hold and Moder can pop his arm back in it's socket.
