Shalashaska looks to throw a body kick
and Short counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Short keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Shalashaska's head.
Shalashaska escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Short gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Short has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Shalashaska manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Short manages to get himself to full guard.
Short has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Shalashaska doesn't defend quickly enough and Short has managed to lock this one up! Can Shalashaska escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Short on a fantastic submission victory.
