Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Adrian Rose (ranked 152 p4p, 480 weight class) and Norman Boma (ranked 22 p4p, 67 weight class). Boma has chosen Drowning Pool - Bodies as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 4 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Adrian Rose!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Norman Boma!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, David Schapiro and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boma wants to clinch.
Boma lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Rose blocks the body kick.
Boma catches Rose with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Rose closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Boma staying out of range there.
We've been informed that Boma has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Boma throws a body punch but Rose moves out of range.
Rose has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Rose lands a glancing blow to the side of Boma's head.
Rose swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Rose ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Boma moves away.
Boma misses with a kick to the body
and Rose counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Rose throwing shots but Boma is blocking nicely.
Boma is refusing to be controlled, as Rose sits in half guard.
Boma makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Boma.

Boma is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Rose defends well.
Boma keeping moving, preventing Rose from controlling successfully.
Rose with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Boma looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Rose postures up in Boma's guard and throws a big left but Boma blocks it.
Rose chips away with some ground and pound.
Rose might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Rose lands a couple of digs.

Boma keeping moving, preventing Rose from controlling successfully.
Rose not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Rose keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Boma's head.
Rose stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Boma swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Rose looking to sit in guard and control but Boma gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Rose wants to sweep here but Boma controlling him for the moment.
Rose can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Boma controls the pace.

Rose pulls Boma in to control the position.
Boma trying to control the position from guard on top but Rose is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Rose manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Boma manages to get himself to full guard.

Rose is fighting to break Boma's control of his arms but Boma is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Rose controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Boma wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Rose preventing the sweep.

Boma pulls Rose in close to prevent any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Rose wants to pass the guard but Boma is keeping the position.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Norman Boma seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rose misses with a wild combination.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Adrian Rose dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Boma throws a right hand that misses
and Rose connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Boma waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Rose.
Rose shoots and misses
and Boma cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Rose is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Boma can do to turn this around?
Boma scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Rose stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Boma looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Rose throws a body shot but no joy.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Rose checks a leg kick.
Boma darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Rose is looking to land body kicks.
Boma sizes up Rose with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Boma is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Boma throws a head kick that misses.
Rose avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Boma throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Rose swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Rose throws a chopping leg kick but Boma manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Rose looks to score with a jab to the body but Boma is just out of range.

and Boma counters with a low kick, right behind Rose 's knee.
Rose lands a nice shot to the body.
Rose is looking to wear down Boma with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Boma blocks a jab.
Boma has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Boma throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Boma scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Rose doesn't seem bothered though.
Boma throws a half hearted mid kick.
Boma misses with an uppercut.
Boma tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Rose was well out of range. Poor timing from Boma.
Boma lands a right hook to the body.
Rose moves away from the strike by Boma.
Rose appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Rose throws a big shot that misses.
Boma just misses with a punch to the body.
A clash of legs there as Rose blocks the low kick.
Rose connects with a looping right hand.
Boma throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Boma works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Boma misses with a straight left.
Boma sizes up Rose with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Boma throws a leg kick which misses Rose's front leg but catches the back leg as Rose tries to avoid it.
Norman Boma is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Rose keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Rose takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Rose throws a jab when Boma was well out of range.
Boma throws a head kick that misses.
Rose uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Boma has time to react.
Boma throws a lazy uppercut
and Rose counters with a takedown into side control.
Rose scores with a couple of short elbows.
Boma is rocked!
Rose cracks Boma with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Boma is still in real trouble! Can Rose finish him?
Boma tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Rose cracks Boma with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Rose immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Boma is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Rose!
