Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Bruce (ranked 254 p4p, 742 weight class) and Charlinho Motosserra (ranked 16 p4p, 46 weight class). Jack Bruce has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 13 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Jack Bruce! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Charlinho Motosserra! The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Jorge Garcia and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bruce connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Motosserra's hands. Motosserra uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Bruce. Motosserra fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Bruce avoids it really well and circles away. Bruce was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Bruce lands a lovely overhand right. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Motosserra takes one on the button.
It looks like Charlinho Motosserra has been cut. Bruce definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Motosserra takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Motosserra misses with a takedown attempt - Bruce sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Oooooh!!! Bruce has knocked Motosserra down with a huge combo! Bruce steps away and waves a wobbly Motosserra back to his feet! This one might not go much longer! Bruce misses with a body shot.
Motosserra changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Bruce scores with a nice strike. Motosserra shoots for a double leg takedown but Bruce sprawls well. He's pushed Motosserra's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Bruce swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Jack Bruce has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Charlinho Motosserra. Motosserra is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Bruce's half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Motosserra is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Bruce wants to improve his position but Motosserra is controlling well.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Motosserra seems to be looking for submissions.
Bruce is controlling Motosserra's trapped leg to prevent Motosserra from advancing to side control. Motosserra is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Motosserra trying to control the action but Bruce is working from the bottom. Motosserra takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Motosserra is looking for a kimura but Bruce is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Motosserra to get the leverage. Motosserra is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Bruce knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Motosserra on the ground. Motosserra wants to work for an arm triangle but Bruce is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Motosserra is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Motosserra looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Motosserra trying to control the action but Bruce is working from the bottom. Motosserra is trying to work for a kimura but Bruce is defending well.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Motosserra in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Bruce tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Motosserra!

Charlinho Motosserra was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
