Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Abu Schaubi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Yngve Laake! The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Alexandre Firmino and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Laake lands with an uppercut that bounces Schaubi off the cage and back into range. Schaubi avoids the head kick by Laake.
Laake lands a two punch combo.
Laake tries a head kick but it misses.
Schaubi lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Schaubi looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Whack! Laake lands a heavy head kick that drops Schaubi. The ref tackles Laake to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Schaubi was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Yngve Laake! Yngve Laake really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Brooklyn Threads logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty. The defeated Abu Schaubi had this to say: 'Gawld dawg'.
