Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mustang Jack (ranked 750 p4p, 419 weight class) and Mamed Khalidovic (ranked 83 p4p, 55 weight class). Khalidovic has chosen Зима-мама 25/17 as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Khalidovic lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Jack has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Jack and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Jack is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Khalidovic lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Jack fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Khalidovic has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

That's time! Jack's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Khalidovic takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Khalidovic is taking a breather. Jack says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Jack is positioning himself well to prevent Khalidovic advancing to mount.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Mustang Jack has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

It looked like Jack was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Khalidovic.
Jack moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Jack tries to land a front kick but Khalidovic steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Khalidovic looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Well Khalidovic has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
