Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Arthur Menezes (ranked 261 p4p, 294 weight class) and Chip Nickel (ranked 34 p4p, 38 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Nickel's choice of entrance music: TISM - Greg the Stop Sign. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 43 - 24 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Arthur Menezes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 36 - 16 - 1, fighting out of New York, Chip Nickel! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Paul Tew and James Atkins.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nickel lands with a shot to the body. Menezes on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Menezes slips a jab from Nickel. Menezes tests Nickel's chin there with a solid looking shot. Nickel throws a push kick but Menezes slaps the foot to one side. Menezes has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Bigfoot BJJ in the buildup to the fight. Nickel fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Menezes manages to avoid it. Menezes thows a left - swing and a miss! Menezes moves out of range of the strikes. Nickel uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Menezes.
Menezes misses with a looping right. Nickel lands a nice looking body shot.
Menezes shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Menezes was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Nickel tries to get back to half guard but can't. Menezes in side control, throwing shots but Nickel defends. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Menezes working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Nickel is trying to improve his position.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Menezes in the domination position with Nickel hanging on. Menezes wants to lay and pray for a moment but Nickel keeps working. Menezes scoring with punches from side control. Nickel is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Menezes has just dragged him back down to the mat. Menezes takes a little break here. Nickel wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Nickel is pushing Menezes's head away, looking to escape. Menezes manages to hold on to the position though.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Menezes is working to tighten his grip on Nickel's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Nickel has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Menezes is really squeezing tight and eventually Nickel passes out! Menezes breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
