Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Cooper Roos (ranked 38 p4p, 116 weight class) and Boyko Kersikov (ranked 5 p4p, 14 weight class). Roos comes to the cage accompanied by EASY MONEY. Kersikov has chosen Sefa - God's Plan as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 22 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Cooper Roos! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 16 - 6 - 1, fighting out of New York, Boyko Kersikov! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Donald Grub and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Roos wants to clinch up but Kersikov keeps it at a distance. Roos misses the body punch and Roos takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. A slapping leg kick lands for Roos.
Roos swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Kersikov counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Kersikov has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kersikov blocks a leg kick. Kersikov takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
That's one minute gone in the round. A low kick from Roos misses letting Kersikov counter with a right hand. Kersikov slips under a jab from Roos. Roos ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kersikov moves away. Kersikov tries a quick counter leg kick but Roos is wise to it. Roos has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Convicted Fight Club in the buildup to the fight. Roos thumps Kersikov with a low kick. Roos lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Roos falls off balance throwing a combination
and Kersikov counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Cooper Roos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Roos throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Kersikov counters with a nice right hand that sends Roos toppling to the canvas! Roos scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Kersikov finish him?!
It looks like Cooper Roos has been cut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Roos throws a body kick despite being completely out of range and Kersikov counters with a left to the body. Roos misses with a straight left. Kersikov throws a counter combo.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kersikov is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Roos throws a leg kick and Kersikov counters with a nice leg kick. Roos misses with a lunging right hand
and Kersikov counters with a nice kick to the body. A jab from Roos finds it's way through Kersikov's defenses. Roos throws a head kick that misses. Roos backing away here, and Kersikov unleashes a leg kick that just misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Roos wants to clinch and Kersikov counters with a crisp right hand that drops Roos! Kersikov lets Roos back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Roos is rocked! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Roos misses with an uppercut
and Kersikov counters with a powerful cross that connects right on the chin and the lights go out! A massive one punch knock out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Boyko Kersikov! A relieved looking Boyko Kersikov thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
