Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Yuri Voronov (ranked 1474 p4p, 1847 weight class) and Noah Ortega (ranked 201 p4p, 248 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 23 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Yuri Voronov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Noah Ortega!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Aafke Stam and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ortega throws a body punch but Voronov moves out of range.
A little feinted left hand from Voronov on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Voronov scores with a punch to the head.
Ortega closes the distance and pushes Voronov back into the cage.
Ortega has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Voronov is trying to keep an underhook but Ortega manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Voronov is staying active underneath Ortega, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Ortega stops Voronov from getting back to his feet.
Ortega seems to be working for a kimura but Voronov defends the submission attempt.
Voronov is refusing to be controlled, as Ortega sits in half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Voronov pushes Ortega off looking to stand but Ortega dives back in and keeps control.

Voronov throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Ortega sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Voronov has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Coco's MMA in the buildup to the fight.

Ortega wants to clinch up but Voronov keeps it at a distance.
Ortega fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Voronov avoids it really well and circles away.

Voronov thows a left - swing and a miss!
Ortega scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

The fighters circling - Ortega throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Voronov will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Voronov is pressed up against the cage. Ortega has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Voronov down to the mat. Voronov avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

The fighters circle momentarily. Voronov darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Ortega tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Voronov paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Voronov feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Ortega sprawling to the canvas! Ortega rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Voronov finish him?!
Ortega is rocked!
Voronov turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Voronov lands a big uppercut and Ortega crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Ortega looks OK. Voronov waves Ortega back to his feet!
Voronov lands a right hook to the body.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Voronov lands a front kick.
Ortega seems to have recovered his senses.
Voronov sends Ortega crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Voronov is motioning to the referee to let Ortega up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Ortega takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Ortega misses the jab.
Voronov is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Ortega can do to turn this around?

Ortega gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Voronov points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Ortega wakes up just in time to hear Voronov thank his coaches in the post fight interview.
