Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Chip Nickel (ranked 152 p4p, 399 weight class) and Bofur Widenose (ranked 21 p4p, 53 weight class). Nickel kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is TISM - Greg the Stop Sign. Bofur Widenose is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Widenose slips under a jab from Nickel.
Widenose is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Nickel misses with a body shot.
Widenose drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Nickel defends it well.

Widenose has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

and Widenose decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Nickel's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Nickel scrambles and gets back to his feet.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Widenose.
Widenose changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Nickel tries to avoid it but Widenose manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Nickel to the ground. Nickel escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Chip Nickel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bofur Widenose.
Nickel thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Widenose if he has to take too many more of those.

so Widenose counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Nickel knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Widenose on the ground.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Nickel wants to control position but Widenose is using a can opener to pass guard... He's turned it into a full on guillotine from mount now! Big trouble for Nickel here! He's turning a lovely shade of purple and yep! He's tapping out! I would say world class Jiu Jitsu but is it really? It was nice but let's not get silly about it.
