Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Arthur Menezes (ranked 128 p4p, 228 weight class) and Boyko Kersikov (ranked 18 p4p, 31 weight class). Kersikov has chosen Sefa - God's Plan as his entrance music. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 43 - 23 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Arthur Menezes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 6 - 1, fighting out of New York, Boyko Kersikov!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Menezes swings for the body but Kersikov moves out of range.
Menezes misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Kersikov.
Menezes scores with a nice head shot.
Menezes throws a shot from downtown. Kersikov moves away and avoids it.
Menezes misses with a looping left.
A nice side step and Kersikov releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Some wild striking there from Menezes.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Kersikov! But no joy.
Menezes throws a series of punches but Kersikov avoids them all with ease.

It seemed like Kersikov was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Menezes shoots in looking for a takedown. Kersikov tries to sprawl out of it but Menezes keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kersikov manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Menezes closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Menezes lands in his opponent's guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kersikov is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Menezes controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Menezes wants to pass the guard but Kersikov is keeping the position.
Menezes passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Kersikov is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

Menezes is trying to get an arm triangle but Kersikov is defending well.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Oh Menezes is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Kersikov finds Menezes's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Menezes flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Kersikov lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Menezes will be OK.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:09 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Boyko Kersikov!
After winning the bout, Boyko Kersikov thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
