Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kullo Kross (ranked 1110 p4p, 1036 weight class) and David Hanson (ranked 172 p4p, 162 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kullo Kross!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 1, fighting out of London, David Hanson!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Daniel Blasius and Radbod Blank.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hanson with a lazy takedown attempt
and Kross counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Kross throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Kross lands a nice shot to the body.
Hanson ducks under a wild hook from Kross.
Hanson looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Hanson has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Kullo Kross seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Hanson goes for a double leg but Kross avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Kross continues to drive forward.

Kross stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kross wants it to stay on the feet.

Kross is fighting off a takedown attempt but Hanson is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Kross to the mat. Kross regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Kross is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Hanson wants to pass the guard but Kross is keeping the position.
Kross knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hanson on the ground.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kross definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Hanson is working for a kimura but Kross is defending it quite comfortably.

Hanson tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Kross smiles and moves away.

Hanson avoids the head kick by Kross.
Kross lands a nice looking body shot.
Kross cracks Hanson with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Hanson tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Kross pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Hanson is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:30 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kullo Kross!
