Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joe Pulizzi (ranked 1533 p4p, 2587 weight class) and Demarcus Flatendo (ranked 231 p4p, 354 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Joe Pulizzi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Demarcus Flatendo!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, David Schapiro and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Flatendo has managed to clinch.
Flatendo prevents Pulizzi from breaking the clinch.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Flatendo.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Flatendo creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Pulizzi definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Pulizzi takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Flatendo tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Pulizzi manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

We've been informed that Flatendo has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Pulizzi throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Pulizzi swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.

Flatendo is leaning against Pulizzi and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.

Pulizzi had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Flatendo defends it easily.
Flatendo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pulizzi. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Pulizzi has his feet on Flatendo's thighs here. He's pushed Flatendo off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Flatendo screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
