Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kemar Powell (ranked 2704 p4p, 3023 weight class) and Elijah Anderson (ranked 374 p4p, 404 weight class). Powell comes to the cage accompanied by Lil Baby & Lil Durk - Hats Off. Elijah Anderson has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kemar Powell! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 6 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Elijah Anderson! The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Nard Betker and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Anderson dives in and grabs Powell's left leg, looking for a takedown. Powell pushes down on Anderson's head and hops out. Powell ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Anderson moves away. A shot to the body from Powell misses and Anderson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Anderson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Powell avoids it really well and circles away. A counter left hand to the body from Powell misses its target. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Powell does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Anderson tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Powell misses with a left hand and Anderson counters with a nice double leg into side control. Powell won't be happy with that.
That's one minute gone in the round. Anderson taking a breather here. Powell is not content to let Anderson control the position. Anderson thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Powell tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Anderson wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Powell is working hard here to advance position. Anderson staying calm. Powell defending against the ground and pound. Anderson controlling the position from side mount. Anderson scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Powell to see if he's OK.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Anderson cracks Powell with an elbow. That is naaassty. Anderson is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Powell's shoulder. That is not cool. Powell tries to buck Anderson off but Anderson is having none of it. Anderson postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Anderson trying to control the action but Powell is working from the bottom. Anderson misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Anderson throwing shots but missing, from side control. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! You can see the frustration on Powell's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Powell throws a jab when Anderson was well out of range. Anderson feints the counter takedown. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Elijah Anderson dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Anderson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Powell sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Anderson somewhat. Powell blocks a head kick by Anderson.
Anderson ducks under a wild hook from Powell. Anderson has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Powell is landing a low percentage of strikes. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Anderson closes the distance and pushes Powell back into the cage. Powell lands a left hand that snaps the head of Anderson backwards. Powell breaks from the clinch.
Elijah Anderson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Anderson decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Powell is trying is best to control the position here. Anderson throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Anderson perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Powell keeping hold of Anderson's head, controlling as best he can. Anderson is trying to control. Powell wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Anderson missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Anderson has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Anderson trying to control the action but Powell is working from the bottom.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Anderson avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Elijah Anderson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Powell is looking to score with low kicks. Anderson drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Powell defends it well. Jab by Anderson. Anderson lands a nice hook to Powell's body. Powell takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. No luck for Anderson with that takedown attempt. Powell misses with a looping left.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Anderson keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Powell. Anderson drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Powell defends it well. Anderson darts in looking for a takedown but Powell gets double underhooks and turns Anderson into the cage. Kemar Powell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Elijah Anderson. Anderson slips under a jab from Powell. Anderson shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Powell defends it nicely. An attempted straight right counter from Powell misses the target. A punch combination from Anderson misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Anderson fails to land with a series of punches.
A left and a right from Anderson both land. Nice combination. Powell leaves Anderson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Powell was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Anderson fails with the takedown. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Anderson scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Elijah Anderson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round! Anderson takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Powell misses with a double jab.
Anderson fails with a takedown attempt. Powell tried to counter with a leg kick but Anderson avoided it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Powell displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Anderson. Anderson pulls out of a head kick attempt.
An attempted straight right counter from Powell misses the target.
That's one minute gone in the round. Powell throws a poor cross that misses
and Anderson counters with a single leg into guard. Powell didn't expect that. Powell knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Anderson on the ground. Anderson postures up in Powell's guard and throws a big left but Powell blocks it. Anderson is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Anderson wants to control from the top but Powell keeps moving. Anderson passes Powell's right leg, so he's now in half guard. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Powell trying to control here.
Kemar Powell has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Anderson has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Anderson looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Powell has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Anderson is working away from the top position though. Powell wants to improve his position but Anderson is controlling well.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. No luck with that takedown attempt from Anderson. Kemar Powell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Elijah Anderson.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Anderson closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Powell quickly recovers to half guard. Anderson wants to control but Powell is keeping him busy. Powell trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Anderson landing strikes from the mount. Elijah Anderson has got the better of the ground game so far. Powell is looking to improve his position but Anderson isn't that keen on the idea. Anderson sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Powell holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Anderson tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Anderson sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Anderson looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Anderson cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
This has been an exciting period of action! Anderson throwing strikes here but Powell is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Anderson with the ground and pound from mount. Anderson scoring with strikes but Powell is staying in there. Anderson working Powell over with strikes here.
And that's the end of the fight! Elijah Anderson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Anderson winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
