Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Oscar Gage (ranked 336 p4p, 719 weight class) and Kurki Potku (ranked 51 p4p, 105 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 23 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Oscar Gage!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kurki Potku!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Emerson Jorge and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Potku slips under a jab.
Gage's corner calls for a 1-2. Gage obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Gage throws a series of punches but Potku moves out of range.
Gage blocks a jab.
The fighters circling - Gage throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Oscar Gage seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Potku bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Gage's head.
Gage definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Gage takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Gage lands a nice looking body shot.
Gage fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Potku manages to avoid it.
Potku throws a wild body kick that Gage sees coming a mile off.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Potku takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Gage keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Potku.
Gage throws a looping overhand right but Potku ducks down to avoid it.
Gage's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Potku connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Gage scrambles back to his feet.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Gage scores with a jab. Potku acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Potku slips a straight right by Gage.
Gage swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Gage misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Potku appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Gage throws an off balance right hand
and Potku counters with a low kick, right behind Gage 's knee.
Potku showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Gage.
Potku replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Gage blocks it well.
A low kick from Potku is predictable there
and Gage counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Potku had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Gage defends it easily.
Potku working for a triangle but Gage defends it easily.
Gage trying to control but Potku is working from the bottom.

Gage with a nice head shot there.
Potku working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Gage doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Gage manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Gage drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Potku manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Gage has Potku in his guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Gage is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Potku postures up.
Gage looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Gage not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Potku pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Gage is keeping the position for now.
Potku won't allow Gage to sweep him here.
Potku stays in close to Gage's body and controls the position.
Potku must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Potku postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Gage is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Potku, into his guard.

Gage distracts Potku with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Potku is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Gage scoring with some ground and pound.
Gage wants to control from the top but Potku keeps moving.
Potku is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Gage has his hands clasped together but Potku extends and breaks Gage's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Potku.

Kurki Potku opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
