Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Henry Hall (ranked 511 p4p, 1191 weight class) and Nate Masvidal (ranked 71 p4p, 153 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The judges for this bout are Francis DeMontford, Donatello Bradman and Eliza Hachem.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Masvidal misses with a hook.
Hall misses with a left hand
and Masvidal counters with a stiff right hand.
Hall looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Masvidal throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Masvidal tries to close the distance and clinch but Hall swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Hall takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Hall steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Masvidal.
Hall appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Hall wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Masvidal swinging wildly here.

Hall gets caught flat footed, as Masvidal shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Masvidal in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Masvidal trying to stand up but can't free himself from Hall's guard.
Masvidal throws an elbow that misses. Hall uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Masvidal's guard. Nice move by Hall!

Masvidal controls Hall momentarily but Hall frees himself.
Hall is stalling in the full guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Masvidal looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Hall controls from within his opponent's guard.

Masvidal looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Hall has picked Masvidal up and slammed him! Masvidal can't keep hold of the triangle and Hall manages to pass to side control!
Hall wants to control but Masvidal is keeping him busy.
Hall prevents Masvidal from escaping the position.

Masvidal tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Hall in side control, just content to control the action for now.

Hall is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Hall lands a left hand that snaps the head of Masvidal backwards.

A nice left hand lands by Hall.
Masvidal misses with a short punch on the inside.
Hall tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Masvidal's elbow.

Masvidal tries to pull guard but Hall won't allow it.
Hall blocking some punches.
Masvidal throws a punch but it's blocked by Hall.
Hall can't find room to land a body shot as Masvidal controls the action.
Hall pushes Masvidal back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Hall doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Hall.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Masvidal misses with a short punch on the inside.
Masvidal lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Hall backwards.
Hall on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Hall misses with a short punch on the inside.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Henry Hall will probably get the nod.

Masvidal is looking to clinch.
Masvidal on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Masvidal rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Hall makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Hall lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Masvidal throws an off balance right hand
and Hall counters with a right hand to the body.
Hall connects with a body shot.
Hall fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Hall throws an overhand right that lands on Masvidal's shoulder, as Masvidal tries to avoid the shot.
Masvidal takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Hall plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

Oooooh!!! Hall has knocked Masvidal down with a huge combo! Hall steps away and waves a wobbly Masvidal back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Masvidal is rocked!

Hall drops Masvidal with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Masvidal looks back up at him and smiles so Hall waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Masvidal is still on wobbly legs! Can Hall finish him?
Hall lands a slapping body shot.
Hall drops a shoulder and throws a monster hook that connects perfectly to the side of Masvidal's head, knocking him out cold! Hall is extatic as he celebrates with his cornermen.
