Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Arthur Pugsley (ranked 1344 p4p, 3175 weight class) and Frankie Venegas (ranked 113 p4p, 237 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Arthur Pugsley! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 20 - 18 - 0, fighting out of London, Frankie Venegas ! The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Saam Ante and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Venegas closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Venegas is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard. Venegas avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Pugsley has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Venegas can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Pugsley working for a triangle but Venegas defends it easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Venegas tries to free his leg and advance position but Pugsley is retaining full guard. Pugsley is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
That's one minute gone in the round. Venegas got a little sloppy there for a moment and Pugsley has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Venegas has managed to get both his arms back between Pugsley's legs - danger averted. Pugsley isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Venegas stacks Pugsley on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Venegas ! Venegas tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Venegas has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Venegas is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Pugsley looks calm but he's in trouble here. Venegas gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Pugsley is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Venegas lets go of the hold and Pugsley can pop his arm back in it's socket.
