The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Mercer looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Mercer tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Hall keeps the fight on the outside.
Hall looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Hall passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Mercer!
Hall is looking to work his way around to Mercer's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position.
Mercer is wriggling around here but as he tries to escape, Hall has taken his back.
