PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sparring John (ranked 1457 p4p, 619 weight class) and Suutari Nuorempi (ranked 230 p4p, 99 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
John throws a hook but Nuorempi blocks it.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

John loads up on a big right hand but Nuorempi slips the punch.
John takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
John is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Nuorempi is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Nuorempi seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but John does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

John looks to land a combination but Nuorempi avoids it well.
John lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Nuorempi circles away quickly and effectively.
And Nuorempi tries to counter it with a takedown but John pushes his down on his head and steps out.
