Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rokken Roll (ranked 236 p4p, 358 weight class) and Oscar Blaydes (ranked 34 p4p, 53 weight class). Blaydes is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Black Sunshine - White Zombie. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Oscar Blaydes!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roll avoids the body shot from Blaydes.
Blaydes throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Blaydes looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Roll fails in his attempt to clinch.
Blaydes lands a nice hook to Roll's body. Roll takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Blaydes ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Roll moves away.
Roll moves out of range of the strikes.
Roll throwing a counter right hand but Blaydes manages to avoid it.
Roll avoids the head kick by Blaydes.
Blaydes lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

Roll takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

A little feinted left hand from Roll on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

Blaydes keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Roll might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far.

Blaydes tries to throw a body punch but Roll avoids it by throwing Blaydes back against the cage.
Roll throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Blaydess head.
Roll tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
A nice left hand lands by Roll.

Blaydes has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Roll looking to score a takedown here. Blaydes is defending well but Roll drives through and ends up in Blaydes's guard.
Blaydes lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Roll can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Blaydes controls the pace.

Roll is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Blaydes's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Blaydes's back!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Blaydes is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

Roll looking to finish the fight with a rear naked choke. Blaydes is controlling Roll 's left arm and he spins nicely into guard.
Blaydes trying to control the position from guard on top but Roll is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Blaydes working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Roll is looking for a triangle but Blaydes pushes his legs off easily.
Blaydes throws a strike but Roll rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Blaydes keeping full guard, as Roll tries to pass.
Roll is fighting to break Blaydes's control of his arms but Blaydes is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Oscar Blaydes.
I've got Blaydes winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
