Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Chris John (ranked 30 p4p, 97 weight class) and Surianglek Sitsongrit (ranked 4 p4p, 13 weight class). John's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Don't Stop Me Now. Chris John had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

John feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Sitsongrit sprawling to the canvas! Sitsongrit rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can John finish him?!

John cracks Sitsongrit with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Sitsongrit looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can John finish him?

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! John crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Sitsongrit - the referee stops the clock and John gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Sitsongrit. John manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with each other but Sitsongrit might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, John has got the better of the exchanges.

The crowd cheers as John lands an impressive looking overhand right. Sitsongrit doesn't seem phased though.
John gets in close and tags Sitsongrit with a short punch that almost sends Sitsongrit to the mat! Oh Sitsongrit is in big trouble! He turns his back on John, trying to create some distance but John rushes him, striking wildly and Sitsongrit goes down! The referee tackles John into the cage to end the fight! John is one violent man!

Chris John decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
