Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Darian Cruz (ranked 1506 p4p, 1576 weight class) and Shu Fang Tzeng (ranked 110 p4p, 120 weight class). Tzeng has chosen Mantra Chant as his entrance music. Shu Fang Tzeng has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 10 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Darian Cruz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 34 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Shu Fang Tzeng! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Shirou Masuda and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tzeng tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Cruz defends well and Tzeng ends up having to push Cruz into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Cruz feinted with a counter takedown. Cruz throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Tzeng tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Cruz is in Tzeng's guard. Cruz controls from within his opponent's guard. Tzeng looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Tzeng keeping moving, preventing Cruz from controlling successfully. Tzeng looking for a guillotine here but Cruz defends easily.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cruz wants to control from the top but Tzeng keeps moving. Tzeng is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Cruz is aware though and is defending well. Tzeng is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Cruz got a little sloppy there for a moment and Tzeng has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Cruz has managed to get both his arms back between Tzeng's legs - danger averted.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tzeng keeping moving, preventing Cruz from controlling successfully. Cruz content to stall in guard here. We've been hearing good reports from Cruz's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Tzeng is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Cruz is aware though and is defending well. Cruz drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Cruz seems to have locked his on tight now - Tzeng screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Cruz, as he picks up the win!
