PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Michal Materlak (ranked 132 p4p, 263 weight class) and Mate Orsic (ranked 21 p4p, 40 weight class). Materlak comes to the cage accompanied by Marzenia. Orsic comes into a darkened arena with his song building. KRS One - Rappaz R. N. Dainja kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Mate Orsic acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Orsic slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Materlak swats away the attempt to clinch by Orsic.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Materlak is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Orsic is defending well though. Materlak let's go of the attempt for now.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Orsic accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Orsic thows an elbow strike that misses. Materlak gets hold of full guard and has managed to get a loose guillotine attempt. Orsic doesn't seem too bothered but Materlak quickly shifts his position and has tightened the hold! Orsic is in big trouble now - he's going a funny colour - he's tapping out! Nice finish there! Orsic really should have spotted the danger earlier though... either incompetence or over-confidence has resulted in a big L on his record.
