Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kodiyak Redd (ranked 1004 p4p, 2212 weight class) and Adam Shalashaska (ranked 44 p4p, 87 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 18 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kodiyak Redd! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 28 - 15 - 0, fighting out of London, Adam Shalashaska! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Percy O'Donnell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shalashaska thows a leg kick but Redd checks it and Redd counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Shalashaska! Shalashaska tries to bench press Redd off him but Redd keeps the position. Redd working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Shalashaska is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Shalashaska tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Redd presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! Shalashaska working to try and regain half guard.
We've been hearing that Redd has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. Redd lands a heavy elbow. Redd scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Shalashaska is squirming around, avoiding Redd's attempts to control the action. Shalashaska taking shots to the head. Redd has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Shalashaska's face.
Shalashaska is trying desperately to improve position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Redd lands a big shot there that rocks Shalashaska but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Shalashaska has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it. Redd tries to control but Shalashaska wriggling away. Shalashaska is trying to escape the mount.
Redd lands a nice shot to the head. Redd takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Shalashaska can't escape the position.
Redd lands a big elbow. Redd scoring with strikes but Shalashaska is staying in there. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Redd cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Shalashaska is in all sorts of trouble here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Redd lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Redd is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Shalashaska can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Redd fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Shalashaska tries to get back to half guard but can't. Shalashaska landing with some feeble shots from his back... He should probably try escaping the position instead. Redd working for a guillotine from mount but Shalashaska is in no mood to give up. Redd putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Shalashaska is looking to improve his position but Redd isn't that keen on the idea. Redd trying to control but he's not successful this time. Redd sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Redd looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Redd has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Shalashaska can't escape the position.
Shalashaska regains half guard. Redd wants to control but Shalashaska is keeping him busy. Redd is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Redd works his foot free and advances to mount. Shalashaska tries to reverse the position but Redd maintains control. Redd raining down hammerfists from mount. Shalashaska tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Redd wants to control the pace but Shalashaska is squirming around nicely. Redd lands with some strikes. Shalashaska sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Shalashaska misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Shalashaska is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Shalashaska manages to get to full guard.
Shalashaska had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Redd defends it easily. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Shalashaska will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Redd is in close to Shalashaska's body, working some short punches and elbows. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Kodiyak Redd dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Redd keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Redd appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Shalashaska dives in for a single leg takedown but Redd sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Redd changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Redd with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Shalashaska drives through and clinches with Redd against the cage.
Shalashaska scores with a shoulder strike. Shalashaska looking to throw knees to the head but Redd is blocking nicely.
Shalashaska misses with some punches.
Shalashaska tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Redd's elbow. Shalashaska wants a takedown but no success here.
Redd tries to score a body lock takedown but Shalashaska shows good agility there to stay on his feet. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Shalashaska. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shalashaska working aggressively here.
Redd breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Redd swats away the attempt to clinch by Shalashaska. Shalashaska keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's one minute gone in the round. Redd slips a straight right by Shalashaska. It looked like Redd wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Shalashaska tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Redd manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. The fighters circling - Shalashaska throws out the jab but it was never going to land. As Shalashaska looks to move away, Redd throws a big counter combo but Shalashaska just gets out of the way. Shalashaska gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Redd looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Shalashaska! But no joy. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kodiyak Redd. That's going to take a lot out of him. Shalashaska tries to close the distance and clinch but Redd swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Redd swats away the attempt to clinch by Shalashaska. Shalashaska fails with an attempt to clinch.
Shalashaska is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Shalashaska moves out of range of the strikes. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Redd.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Redd throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Shalashaska has taken the fight to the clinch.
Redd misses with a hook from the clinch. Shalashaska throws a punch but it's blocked by Redd. Shalashaska throws a head punch that misses. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Shalashaska. Redd blocking some punches.
Redd has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Shalashaska uses from the top position. Redd is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Shalashaska has his hands clasped together but Redd extends and breaks Shalashaska's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Redd.
