Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Clint River !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 39 - 32 - 3, fighting out of London, Serafim Lupei!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lupei throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A looping hook to the body misses from River . Lupei does a little dance to reset his feet.
River finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
River lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Lupei has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from River finds it's way round the side to connect with Lupei's head.
River lands a big uppercut and Lupei crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Lupei looks OK. River waves Lupei back to his feet!
Lupei is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lupei throws a body punch but River moves out of range.
A little feinted left hand from River on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Lupei is still on wobbly legs! Can River finish him?
The fighters circling - Lupei throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Lupei seems to have recovered his senses.
Lupei swings and misses with a hook to the body.
River changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Lupei switches off momentarily and River cracks him with a monster right hand! Lupei topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as River dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by River !
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Clint River !
Clint River seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
