Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jason Mann (ranked 4429 p4p, 2675 weight class) and Tye Kwondo (ranked 401 p4p, 283 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jason Mann! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Tye Kwondo! The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Chad Campbell and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kwondo gets caught napping as Mann dives in and scores a takedown. Kwondo manages to retain guard. Mann wants to control from the top but Kwondo keeps moving. Mann has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Kwondo escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Mann gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Kwondo working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Mann. Kwondo looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Kwondo looking for a guillotine here but Mann defends easily.
Kwondo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mann doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Mann manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mann wants to control from the top but Kwondo keeps moving.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kwondo escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Mann gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Kwondo trying to control the position here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kwondo wants to sweep here but Mann controlling him for the moment. Kwondo pulls Mann in close to prevent any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Kwondo looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Mann has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Kwondo is proving hard to escape from. Mann stopping the sweep attempt from Kwondo. Kwondo is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Mann is aware though and is defending well. Kwondo has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Mann can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Mann controls from within his opponent's guard. Kwondo tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kwondo is trying to keep Mann in close.
Kwondo has his foot on Mann's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Mann works his way back into a safe position though. Kwondo pulls Mann in to control the position. Kwondo is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Mann defends well. Kwondo working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Mann. Kwondo had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Mann defends it easily. Kwondo has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Mann is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Kwondo.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kwondo manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Kwondo is controlling Mann's trapped leg to prevent Mann from advancing to side control. Mann is looking to take a break and control but Kwondo is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Mann tries to stand but can't do so whilst Kwondo controls his leg. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Kwondo regains full guard. Nicely done. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Tye Kwondo dominated that round. That's time! Mann's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Kwondo looks to land a combination but Mann avoids it well. Kwondo has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Some wild striking there from Kwondo.
Mann tries to counter by clinching up but Kwondo breaks away and moves out of range. Kwondo throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Mann counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Kwondo closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Kwondo lands in his opponent's guard. Kwondo postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Kwondo postures up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kwondo lands a couple of digs. Kwondo wants to control from the top but Mann keeps moving. Mann throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kwondo loads up on a big left hand. Mann felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Kwondo looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Mann can't hide his disappointment, as Kwondo celebrates the victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:23 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tye Kwondo!
