Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dan McLaughlin (ranked 3898 p4p, 4402 weight class) and Thiago Castro (ranked 386 p4p, 408 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dan McLaughlin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Thiago Castro! The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Joseph Jones and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Castro tries a head kick but it misses.
Castro ducks under a wild hook from McLaughlin. McLaughlin definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts McLaughlin, as that shot connected.
Castro has his takedown stuffed and Castro takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Castro closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into McLaughlin's guard. McLaughlin is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Castro dives into side control.
Castro works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. McLaughlin takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Castro scoring with punches from side control. Castro has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. McLaughlin prevents Castro from improving position.
That's one minute gone in the round. McLaughlin is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Castro is controlling him well. Castro misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Castro advances nicely into full mount. Castro cracks McLaughlin with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Castro is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, McLaughlin has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Castro working for a submission but McLaughlin is keeping him at bay. Castro putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Castro has isolated one of McLaughlin's arms. McLaughlin looking to fight him off but Castro twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
