Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Yevgeny Ignatov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Atakan Akkaynak!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Chris Downing and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ignatov lands a nice looking kick to the body. Akkaynak takes a step back to recover.
Ignatov throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Akkaynak tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Ignatov manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Ignatov swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Akkaynak tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
A left lands for Ignatov.
It looks like Atakan Akkaynak has been cut.
Ignatov walks into a stiff left hand from Akkaynak.
Akkaynak looks to clinch
and Ignatov counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Akkaynak is rocked!
Akkaynak tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Ignatov seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Akkaynak tries to clinch up
and Ignatov counters with a huge left! Akkaynak is in big trouble! He's backing up but Ignatov isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Akkaynak from any more damage. A dominating finish by Ignatov!
