Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Choke (ranked 101 p4p, 61 weight class) and Joe Dinapoli (ranked 18 p4p, 12 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 31 - 17 - 1, fighting out of London, David Choke! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 35 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Joe Dinapoli! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Elvis Blanc and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dinapoli swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Choke shoots in for a takedown but Dinapoli shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Choke uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Dinapoli. A big left from Dinapoli misses. We've been hearing reports that Choke has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Dinapoli fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Choke looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Choke bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Choke appears to be looking for a counter takedown. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Choke tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Jab, jab by Dinapoli - just one landing. Dinapoli swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
That's one minute gone in the round. A telegraphed right hand from Dinapoli misses the target. Choke doesn't succeed with the takedown and Dinapoli counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Dinapoli keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Choke slips under a jab from Dinapoli. Joe Dinapoli is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Nice takedown defense from Dinapoli. No joy for Choke on that attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for David Choke. That's going to take a lot out of him. Dinapoli lands a big right hand that sends Choke crashing to the mat! Dinapoli stays standing though and waves Choke back to his feet!
Choke is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Dinapoli throws an overhand right that lands on Choke's shoulder, as Choke tries to avoid the shot. Choke changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Dinapoli is looking to land body kicks.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Choke shoots in and drives through. Dinapoli sprawls well. Choke fails with a takedown attempt. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Choke has his takedown stuffed letting Dinapoli counter with a right hand. Dinapoli throws a poor cross that misses
and Choke decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Dinapoli's guard. Choke stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dinapoli swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dinapoli wants to sweep here but Choke controlling him for the moment. Choke throws a big right hand that misses. Choke trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Dinapoli working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Choke. Choke throws a big elbow that misses. Choke drops back looking for a leg! Dinapoli is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Dinapoli manages to kick Choke off! Choke jumps back into Dinapoli's guard. Dinapoli looking to hit a scissor sweep but Choke is one step ahead there. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Choke is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Dinapoli is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Dinapoli has escaped and now he's on top!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dinapoli passes Choke's left leg - he's now in half guard. Choke is in trouble now - Dinapoli has advanced to mount! Choke is in all sorts of trouble here.
Choke is working hard here to advance position. Choke regains half guard. Dinapoli content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Joe Dinapoli dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. Choke slips a jab from Dinapoli. Dinapoli thows a left - swing and a miss! An attempted straight right counter from Choke misses the target. Joe Dinapoli seems to be getting the better of the standup. Dinapoli turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Choke takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Choke looks for a takedown but Dinapoli sprawls well. Joe Dinapoli seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Choke shoots for a double leg takedown but Dinapoli sprawls well. He's pushed Choke's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Choke uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Dinapoli. Choke fails with a takedown attempt. Dinapoli is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Choke with a body shot. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for David Choke. That's going to take a lot out of him.

That kick from Dinapoli tenderised Choke's leg. Choke is trying to keep his angry face on. Choke scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Choke maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Dinapoli could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Choke has cracked it and Dinapoli is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Choke!
