Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Norman Boma (ranked 989 p4p, 1082 weight class) and Ham Burger (ranked 137 p4p, 152 weight class). Boma comes to the cage accompanied by Drowning Pool - Bodies. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 17 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Norman Boma! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 16 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ham Burger! The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Topper Green and Chris Dean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Boma throws a leg kick and Burger counters with a lovely straight right hand! Ham Burger seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Burger throws a lazy uppercut
and Boma counters with a good low kick that Burger was not able to check. Burger throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Boma connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Burger throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Burger feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Boma is controlling Burger's posture. Burger throws a strike but Boma rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Boma controls from within his opponent's guard. Burger trying to keep a closed guard but Boma is proving a slippery customer.
Boma is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Burger has a closed guard, preventing Boma from standing up. Boma stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Burger swivels though and keeps the full guard. Burger throws his legs up looking for a submission but Boma uses it to pass to side control.
Burger sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Boma controlling the pace.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Boma tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Boma escapes and gets back to his feet. Boma has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Animal Fight Club in the buildup to the fight. Burger dives in and grabs Boma's left leg, looking for a takedown. Boma pushes down on Burger's head and hops out. Boma throws a quick counter head kick but Burger was just out of range. Boma lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
It looks like Ham Burger has been cut. Norman Boma is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Boma stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Boma wants it to stay on the feet. Burger tries for a takedown but Boma circles away easily and Boma counters with a right hand to the body. Norman Boma has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ham Burger. Boma throws a monster overhand right that drops Burger! Boma follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Norman Boma! Norman Boma bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
