Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 9 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sheikh Mahmut!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Boy Walton!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Percy O'Donnell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Walton walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
It looks like John Boy Walton has been cut.
Mahmut with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Walton to score with a decent uppercut.
It looks like Sheikh Mahmut has been cut.
Mahmut tests Walton's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Walton lands a leg kick that knocks Mahmut off balance momentarily.
Mahmut doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Walton smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Walton misses with a straight left.
Mahmut throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Walton on the side of the head.
Walton blocks a jab.
Walton misses with a leg kick.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Mahmut throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Mahmut swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Walton only half commits to the counter leg kick.
Walton on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Walton rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Mahmut moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Walton fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Mahmut has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Mahmut slips a straight right by Walton.
Walton moves out of range of the strikes.
Mahmut throws the left hand but Walton avoids the punch easily.
Mahmut chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Walton can pounce on him.
Some bone on bone action there as Mahmut checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Mahmut half committed to a counter leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Walton misses with a leg kick.
A left lands for Mahmut.
A nice leg kick lands there from Mahmut.
Mahmut with the inside leg kick.
Walton misses with a body shot.
Walton lands a lovely overhand right.
Walton lands a nice looking kick to the body. Mahmut takes a step back to recover.
Mahmut misses with a low kick.
A nice leg kick lands there from Mahmut.
Walton with a hook.
Walton throws out a loose jab but Mahmut uses good head movement to avoid it.
Mahmut throws the left hand but Walton avoids the punch easily.
Mahmut swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Walton shapes to counter with a head kick.
Mahmut slips a jab from Walton.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Oooooh!!! Walton has knocked Mahmut down with a huge combo! Walton steps away and waves a wobbly Mahmut back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Sheikh Mahmut's cut is getting worse.
Walton dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Mahmut. That did some damage!
Walton circles away before darting back in with a big straight right hand. It connects beautifully and sends Mahmut tumbling to the canvas! He's out cold! Walton wins by KO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). John Boy Walton!
As John Boy Walton got his breath back, he grabbed the microphone and managed to blurt out the following: This win was for my best good friend. Mr. Pickles!!!!!!!!!!'.
