Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 28 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Richard Hall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rantang Gustus!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Paul Aken and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hall scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Hall is trying to control. Gustus wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Hall wants to pass the guard but Gustus is defending well.
Gustus wants to get back to full guard.
Gustus looking for submissions off his back.
Hall tries to pass to full mount but Gustus defends it.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hall drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Hall jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Hall passes Gustus's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Hall uses his free foot to push down on Gustus's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Gustus.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Hall is working for a guillotine from mount but Gustus frees his head quite easily.
Gustus is controlling an arm, preventing Hall from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
Gustus is in all sorts of trouble here.
Hall fails to move to back control.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Gustus is squirming around, avoiding Hall's attempts to control the action.
Hall looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Hall wants to take Gustus's back but he can't do it this time.
Gustus slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Gustus tries to get to full guard but Hall has control of the leg.
Hall is working for a submission of some sort.
Hall is trying to work for a kimura but Gustus is defending well.
Hall in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Gustus tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Hall!
