The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown attempt by Saneuji or perhaps it was just good defense by Nomura, which made it look bad.
A counter left hand to the body from Nomura misses its target.
Nomura scores with a jab to the jaw.
Saneuji doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Nomura counters with a nice right hand that sends Saneuji toppling to the canvas! Saneuji scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Nomura finish him?!
Saneuji is rocked!
Saneuji shoots in for a takedown but Nomura shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Nomura swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Saneuji is still on wobbly legs! Can Nomura finish him?
Tadahiro Nomura has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Amakusa Saneuji.

and Nomura counters with a lovely shot to the body.
