Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Linkavitch Chomofsky (ranked 350 p4p, 708 weight class) and Bone Breaker (ranked 52 p4p, 99 weight class). Chomofsky's entrance music is Mastodon - Sleeping Giant. A fine choice. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Linkavitch Chomofsky!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bone Breaker!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Steve Smith and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Breaker has a takedown stuffed.
Chomofsky tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Breaker was well out of range. Poor timing from Chomofsky.

and Breaker takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Chomofsky closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Chomofsky lands in his opponent's guard.
Chomofsky stands and throws Breaker's legs to the side, diving into side control.
You can see the frustration on Breaker's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Chomofsky connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Breaker some visible discomfort.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We've been hearing good reports from Chomofsky's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Breaker drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Chomofsky manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Breaker has Chomofsky in his guard.


Breaker had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Chomofsky defends it easily.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Breaker shoots in and drives through. Chomofsky sprawls well.

Chomofsky feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
