Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Joon Sang Hun (ranked 811 p4p, 945 weight class) and Julian Bashir (ranked 62 p4p, 72 weight class). Bashir has chosen Exodus - The Toxic Waltz as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Joon Sang Hun!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Julian Bashir!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Robert Douchet and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bashir drops Sang Hun with a nice combination! Bashir dives into Sang Hun's guard, looking to finish!

Bashir's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Sang Hun connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Bashir scrambles back to his feet.

Bashir looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

And an attempted straight right on the counter from Bashir! But no joy.

enabling Bashir to counter with a crisp jab.
Bashir connects with a body shot that sends Sang Hun's belly button to the back.
Sang Hun with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Bashir to score with a decent uppercut.
Bashir displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Sang Hun throws out the jab.

Sang Hun missing with a left hand there. Bashir was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Sang Hun defending well as Bashir loads up on a big left hand.
Bashir lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Sang Hun at a distance.
Bashir dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Sang Hun scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Sang Hun is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Bashir uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Sang Hun.
Bashir with the counter takedown but Sang Hun avoids it easily.
Sang Hun swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Sang Hun has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Sang Hun there as he acknowledges the shot.
Bashir steps in with a hook that catches Sang Hun right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Bashir follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Sang Hun looks absolutely devastated.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Julian Bashir!
Our winner, Julian Bashir, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
