Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Santino Oliviera (ranked 820 p4p, 1244 weight class) and Paul Nichols (ranked 114 p4p, 179 weight class). Paul Nichols will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Santino Oliviera!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Paul Nichols!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Andrew Berry and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oliviera walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
It looks like Santino Oliviera has been cut.
Nichols looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
A big left from Nichols misses.
Oliviera wants to clinch.
Oliviera tries to clinch up.
Nichols tests Oliviera's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Oliviera tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Nichols manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Oliviera gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Nichols breaks the clinch.
Oliviera closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Oliviera tries to clinch up.
Nichols throws the left hand but Oliviera avoids the punch easily.
A decent looking cross lands there for Nichols.
Nichols thuds a left hand into Oliviera's body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Nichols paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Nichols digs a good body shot into Oliviera's ribs.
Nichols lands with a good body shot.
Oliviera pushes Nichols up against the cage in a clinch.
Oliviera tries to pull guard but Nichols holds him up against the cage and eventually Oliviera drops back down to his feet.
Oliviera has Nichols pressed against the cage, preventing Nichols from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Oliviera jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Nichols walks away with a smile on his face. Oliviera gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Oliviera uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Nichols.
Nichols lands a nice looking body shot.
Oliviera tries to clinch there but Nichols circles away.
The fighters circle momentarily. Nichols darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Oliviera wants to clinch up but Nichols keeps it at a distance.
Nichols throws out a counter right but Oliviera avoids it with no problem.
Nichols lands a jab to the head.
Oliviera is rocked!
Santino Oliviera's cut is getting worse.
Nichols throws a looping overhand right but Oliviera ducks down to avoid it.
As Nichols tries to get set, Oliviera tries to push him back and clinch up but Nichols manages to avoid the attempt.
Oliviera wants to clinch.
Paul Nichols seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Oliviera wants to clinch up but Nichols keeps it at a distance.
Nichols throws a hook to the side of Oliviera's head but Oliviera sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Oliviera tries to clinch but Nichols moves out of range.
Nichols lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Nichols ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Nichols dances in with a quick combination. Oliviera is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Nichols snaps Oliviera's head back. Oliviera stumbles backwards against the cage. Nichols steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Oliviera's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Oliviera just didn't come prepared.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Paul Nichols!
