Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Colby Taylor (ranked 49 p4p, 1083 weight class) and Stan Man (ranked 5 p4p, 85 weight class). Stan Man told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 24 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Colby Taylor! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 15 - 10 - 1, fighting out of London, Stan Man! The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Wagner Zegers and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Taylor moves into range and clinches up with Man. Man wants to break free but Taylor has control.
Man tries for a takedown but Taylor manages to get underhooks.
Nice body punch from Taylor - that landed with a thud.
Man tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Taylor lands with a right to the head. Taylor scores with a shot to the side of Man's head. A quick uppercut on the inside from Taylor. Man is trying to pull guard but Taylor turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Colby Taylor has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Stan Man. Taylor is pressed up against the cage. Man has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Taylor down to the mat. Taylor avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Taylor connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Taylor sizes up Man with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Man shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Taylor as he avoids it easily. Taylor lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Man takes one on the button. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Taylor throws out a powerful jab. Man gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Taylor ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Taylor with a body punch. A glancing blow.
That's one minute gone in the round. Taylor moves into the clinch successfully.
Taylor pulls guard successfully.
Taylor definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Taylor looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Taylor is looking to cinch up a triangle. Man throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Taylor's body to avoid the submission. Taylor has instead reached around Man's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Taylor arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Colby Taylor! Colby Taylor retains his bantamweight title! Colby Taylor thanked the fans post fight for their support.
