Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 37 - 12 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Tom Obama!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 35 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Pedro Fuentes!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Alan Glass and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fuentes keeps Obama at a distance using the push kick.
Obama connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Fuentes throws a lazy uppercut
and Obama makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Fuentes misses with a low kick.
Obama half committed to a counter leg kick.
Fuentes scores with a spinning back kick!
Obama is breathing heavily.
Fuentes lands a big uppercut and Obama crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Obama looks OK. Fuentes waves Obama back to his feet!
It looks like Tom Obama has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Fuentes throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Obama stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Fuentes cracks Obama with a left hook right on the temple and Obama goes down! He's out! Referee! Stop the fight! Fuentes lands a few more punches before the dopey ref steps in - hopefully Obama is OK!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Pedro Fuentes!
