Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Roman Ship (ranked 767 p4p, 970 weight class) and Thom Tharrier (ranked 53 p4p, 63 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ship uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Tharrier.
Tharrier swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Ship scores with a jab. Tharrier acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Ship tries to move into range but Tharrier moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

It looks like Roman Ship has been cut.
Tharrier has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Tharrier has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Ship is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Tharrier.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Ship is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Tharrier still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Tharrier has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

Ship has hold of Tharrier's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Tharrier tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Ship cranks the arm and Tharrier screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Tharrier, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:20 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Roman Ship!
After winning the bout, Roman Ship thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
