The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McDonald defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Hall.
We've been hearing reports that Hall has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
McDonald leaves Hall with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Hall shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. McDonald is trying to defend but Hall finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
McDonald tries to kick Hall off in order to stand up. Hall Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Hall trying to control the action but McDonald is working from the bottom.
McDonald tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Hall presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hall throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! McDonald has his hands clasped together but Hall breaks the hold and McDonald is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Hall!
