Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Olan Zapina (ranked 923 p4p, 615 weight class) and Small Richard (ranked 61 p4p, 47 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Small Richard!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Jorge Garcia and John Kavanagh.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Zapina pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Richard with the counter takedown but Zapina avoids it easily.
Zapina misses with a kick to the body

and Richard counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Richard is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Zapina is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Zapina has escaped and now he's on top!

Richard has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Zapina can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Zapina is looking to stand up but Richard won't let him.
Richard is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Zapina knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Richard on the ground.

Richard throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Zapina tries to stand but Richard is controlling from the bottom.
Richard is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Richard throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Richard has a closed guard, preventing Zapina from standing up.
Richard thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Richard has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Zapina should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Richard has tightened it up now! Zapina should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
