Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Oscar Gustafsson (ranked 33 p4p, 86 weight class) and Eugeniy Tryastsyn (ranked 5 p4p, 8 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 17 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Oscar Gustafsson! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 20 - 10 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Eugeniy Tryastsyn! The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, Ron Honeybunn and Ben Hemmingworth.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tryastsyn lands a two punch combo.
Tryastsyn misses with a hook
and Gustafsson counters with a nice uppercut. Tryastsyn shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Gustafsson pinned against the cage. Gustafsson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Tryastsyn slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Gustafsson takes one to the side of the head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tryastsyn walks into a jab. Eugeniy Tryastsyn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Tryastsyn cracks Gustafsson with an open hand slap. Gustafsson changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. This has been an exciting period of action! Tryastsyn shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Gustafsson as he avoids it easily.
 That's one minute gone in the round.
Tryastsyn shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Tryastsyn was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Tryastsyn is putting a hurting on Gustafsson here, landing some big shots from side control. You can see the frustration on Gustafsson's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Gustafsson avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Tryastsyn. Tryastsyn has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Gustafsson takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Tryastsyn tries to score with some ground and pound. Gustafsson controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Tryastsyn lands a few punches from side control. Gustafsson can't do much from the bottom here. Gustafsson tries to get back to half guard but can't. Gustafsson wants to get back to his feet.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Gustafsson tries to buck Tryastsyn off but Tryastsyn is having none of it. Gustafsson tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops. Tryastsyn lands a shot to the head. The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Tryastsyn has managed to slip his arm under Gustafsson's chin. This could be all over... yep, Gustafsson is tapping out! Submission win for Tryastsyn.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Eugeniy Tryastsyn! Eugeniy Tryastsyn is the new heavyweight champion! After winning the bout, Eugeniy Tryastsyn thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
