The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Donal throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Ferguson looks like he wants to counter punch here.

and Ferguson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Donal fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Ferguson on the side of the head.

It seemed like Ferguson was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Ferguson takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Some bone on bone action there as Ferguson checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

The crowd cheers as Donal lands an impressive looking overhand right. Ferguson doesn't seem phased though.

That has opened up Niall Ferguson's cut even more.
Donal ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ferguson moves away.
Ferguson is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Donal with a body shot.

Ferguson avoids the head kick by Donal.
Ferguson looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
A lazy left from Donal finds it's target.

Donal throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Donal fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Ferguson has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Elwyn Donal seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
A slapping leg kick lands for Donal.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Donal.
Donal connects with a body shot.
Donal lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Ferguson takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Ferguson swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Donal throws a push kick but Ferguson slaps the foot to one side.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Elwyn Donal dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
That's time! Donal's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

And an attempted straight right on the counter from Ferguson! But no joy.
Ferguson takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Ferguson counters with a head kick that drops Donal to the mat! Donal scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
This has been an exciting period of action!

Donal sends Ferguson crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Donal is motioning to the referee to let Ferguson up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Ferguson is rocked!

That's one minute gone in the round.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Ferguson crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Donal - the referee stops the clock and Ferguson gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Donal. Ferguson manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Ferguson is still on wobbly legs! Can Donal finish him?

Ferguson seems to have recovered his senses.

Donal cracks Ferguson with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Ferguson looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Donal finish him?

The cut above Niall Ferguson's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Donal closes the distance and lands a brutal uppercut that knocks Ferguson out! We're looking at the replay now - he was out before he hit the floor!

After the fight, Elwyn Donal was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
