Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kodiyak Redd (ranked 232 p4p, 247 weight class) and Sergey Vinogradov (ranked 9 p4p, 13 weight class). Sergey Vinogradov has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Kodiyak Redd's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kodiyak Redd!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 30 - 16 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sergey Vinogradov!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Chris Edwards and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Redd misses with a low kick.

so Redd counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Redd stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Vinogradov swivels though and keeps the full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Vinogradov is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Redd defends well.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Vinogradov sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Redd passes Vinogradov's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Redd looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Vinogradov with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

We've been hearing that Redd has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Sergey Vinogradov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Redd uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Vinogradov.
Vinogradov throws a shot from downtown. Redd moves away and avoids it.
Vinogradov throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Redd takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Vinogradov throws a right and a left that Redd avoids nicely.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
